Brendan Taffe joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation in August 2022. He serves as Associate Director of Major Gifts and is responsible for securing major gifts that benefit the priorities of the Foundation and Virginia Athletics. He is responsible for fundraising efforts in the New York City/Connecticut, South Florida, and Boston, MA regions and he serves as the VAF liaison for the Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis, and Men’s Lacrosse programs.
Before joining the VAF, Taffe was the Assistant Director of the Chippewa Athletic Fund at Central Michigan University from June 2021-July 2022. During his time in Mt. Pleasant, he cultivated, solicited, and stewarded donors to raise funds for the athletics department in a successful fundraising year.
Taffe arrived at CMU after a two-year graduate assistantship at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY. He served as the athletic department’s external affairs graduate assistant in year one and the fundraising graduate assistant in year two.
Taffe holds bachelor of arts degrees in marketing and sport business management from Mercyhurst University and a master’s degree in sport administration from Canisius College.
