Chris Moore
Chris Moore, a member of the Virginia athletic department since 2008, serves as the Director of Equipment Operations. Moore is responsible for ordering, issuing, and overseeing all equipment needs for the Cavalier baseball, softball, men’s soccer and men’s and women’s golf.Moore also oversees student managers and coordinates practice and game schedules with various teams. He is also responsible for pre- and post-game setup of locker rooms for visiting teams and officials.
Prior to arriving at Virginia, Moore was an equipment manager at Troy University where he also was working towards a master’s degree. Moore also has worked as an intern at Villanova University and with the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and MLB’s Cincinnati Reds. Additionally, Moore had brief stints with the Las Vegas 51’s, the triple A team of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Frontier League’s Florence Freedom.
Moore, a native of Loveland, Ohio, earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Union College in 2006 while also working as a student athletic trainer and his Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Troy University in 2019. While in college, interned with the Los Angeles Dodgers. His wife Blair, is an athletic trainer for the women’s lacrosse program at Virginia. They have two daughters, Camden and Jordan.
