Destiny Coleman joined the athletics staff as an academic coordinator in July 2021.
Prior to coming to UVA, Coleman was part of Christopher Newport University’s student-athlete success department, working to enrich the academic success of student-athletes, with an emphasis on first and second-year students. She also hosted workshops for students surrounding time management, self-management, college mindset, study strategies, goal setting, and test-taking strategies. She also spent three years working as a student-assistant at CNU’s Center for Academic Success. She was also a drum major for CNU’s Marching Captains.
Coleman earned a B.S. in business administration and management from Christopher Newport in 2020 and will complete her master’s of education at the University of Virginia in May 2024. She also has a Certificate, Athletic Leadership from Clemson University.
