Dr. Dorian Hayden is a sport psychology fellow with Virginia Athletics, providing mental health and mental performance support to student-athletes.
Hayden completed his pre-doctoral internship with Counseling and Psychological Services at Lehigh University, where he provided services to students and student-athletes.
He earned his Psy.D. in clinical and school psychology from James Madison University in 2026. He earned his Ph.D. in kinesiology, with a concentration in the psychosocial aspects of sport and physical activity, from Michigan State University in 2022. He also earned an M.A. in general psychology in 2018 and a B.A. in psychology and international business in 2015 from SUNY Brockport.
At SUNY Brockport, Hayden competed in basketball and track and field and spent three years coaching the track and field teams.
A native of Germany, Hayden is fluent in German and English.
