Haylie Beck joined the Virginia football program as the assistant director of football performance nutrition in March of 2025. She came to UVA after spending the last seven months as a fellow in the ASPDA x Gatorade Sports Immersion Program at the University of Texas in Austin.

While at UT, Beck provided medical nutrition therapy to student-athletes and created nutrition protocols to aid in the return to play for acute injuries. She worked closely with the Longhorn football program that reached the College Football Playoff Semifinal, managing football operations for regular season and postseason travel.

Beck became a registered dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration in 2024 and is a licensed dietitian nutritionist.

Prior to Texas, Beck spent two years at NC State as the lead nutrition assistant working primarily with the football program and executing the daily operations of the nutrition department’s fueling station.

A former collegiate volleyball player and beach volleyball player at Coastal Carolina, Beck earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Coastal and her Master of Science in Nutrition from Meredith College in Raleigh. While at NC State she received a Baccalaureate Certificate in the Dietetic Internship Program.

Beck was a five-time member of the Coastal Carolina President’s list and was listed on the Sun Belt Conference All-Academic Honor Roll three times. The Chanticleers won the 2017 Indoor and Beach Volleyball Sun Belt Conference Championship and participated in the NCAA Division I National Championship.
