Jonathan Galvin joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) in January 2025 as the Associate Director of Major Gifts, where he is responsible for securing major gifts to support Virginia Athletics. In this role, Jonathan leads fundraising efforts across the Texas, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C. regions.
Before joining VAF, Jonathan spent over three years at the University of Cincinnati, where he made significant contributions to the athletic department’s fundraising and ticketing efforts. He began as an Account Executive in Ticket Sales/Service in 2021, helping set a school record for total season ticket sales (21,661) and new season ticket sales (4,668) in football. In his second year, Jonathan led the team in new revenue and was instrumental in helping UC surpass $10 million in ticket revenue, setting a new benchmark. As Cincinnati transitioned to the Big 12 Conference, Jonathan was promoted to Associate Director of Development for UCATS, where he cultivated, solicited, and stewarded donors, raising over $1,000,000 for the athletics department in the first two years in the Big 12.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri (2018). He also earned his MBA and Master of Sport Administration (MSA) from Ohio University in 2020. Jonathan and his wife, Angela, now reside in Charlottesville with their cat, Bobbie.
