A fixture in the Hardie Center as an undergraduate, Merrick Denomy was hired full-time on the Virginia football staff in July of 2026 as an offensive quality control coach.
The Warrenton, Va. native graduated from UVA with a bachelor's degree in Leadership and Public Policy in May of 2026. He worked for the Cavalier football program as a recruiting assistant and eventually as an offensive student assistant coach, working primarily with quarterbacks coach Taylor Lamb. Denomy was responsible for weekly scouting & data reports as well as self-scout analyses. In the summer of 2025, he worked with the Big Man Foundation as a program and coach development intern.
