Nicholas Szewczuk

Nicholas Szewczuk joined the UVA equipment staff in 2023. Prior to joining the Cavaliers’ staff he as the assistant equipment and operations manager at Stony Brook for one year. He directly handled all equipment responsibilities for the men’s soccer and women’s basketball programs.

He previously worked at Stony Brook as the director of analytics and video operations for men’s lacrosse from January of 2022 to May of 2023. His duties and responsibilities included coordinating team travel, practices, assisting with the review of equipment and filming all practices.

Szewczuk was the equipment operations manager and athletic operations assistant at Bryant University for one year before working at Stony Brook. He also worked at Long Island University as the assistant event operations and equipment manager and was the athletic event operations assistant at CW Post.

His background in lacrosse includes serving as the assistant manager for Lacrosse Unlimited from January 2021 to July of 2022. He was a player and coach for the Puerto Rico Lacrosse Heritage Pool for four years.

Szewczuk graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in sport management in 2019 and completed his master’s degree in sport management and athletic administration from New Haven in 2022.
