Nicole Garrow joined the UVA athletics department in 2025. She served as the seasonal athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams and now serves as the seasonal athletic trainer for softball and is responsible for assisting with the overall daily healthcare of UVA student-athletes, including prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for injuries and illness.
Garrow received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Austin College in 2020 and completed her master’s degree in athletic training from Texas A&M University in 2025. While at A&M, she worked with a variety of teams and programs, including high school, football, volleyball, the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, and spent a semester at Wichita State University working with the women’s basketball team. Garrow is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. She has certifications in mental health first aid, FAT tool, and is a Basic Life Support provider through the American Heart Association.
