Riley Tengwall joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation in July 2025 as the Coordinator of Donor Experiences. In this role, she supports athletic event planning, marketing and communications, and stewardship initiatives for all VAF donors. She also assists with suite management at Scott Stadium, John Paul Jones Arena, and Disharoon Park.
Prior to joining VAF, Riley was selected for the University of Tennessee Athletics FellowVol Program (August 2024 – June 2025). During the fellowship in Knoxville, she rotated through Human Resources/Administration, Marketing, Development, and Event Management, gaining comprehensive exposure to the day-to-day operations supporting competitive Division I athletic teams.
A native of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Riley earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and Business from the University of Georgia in May 2024, graduating magna cum laude. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants and local shops, and spending time with friends and family.
