Sylvia Blanton joined the Virginia Athletics Foundation in January 2026 and serves as the Office Manager/HR Coordinator. In this role, she supports daily office operations and human resources functions and serves as a front-line point of contact for donors, guests, and internal partners. Sylvia works closely with university departments to help ensure a welcoming, efficient, and service-oriented office environment.
Prior to joining VAF, Sylvia worked in the Terrier Club at Wofford College, where she supported donor engagement initiatives, game day operations, and internal department efforts. A native of Blacksburg, South Carolina, she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Clemson University, where she assisted with Olympic sports recruiting efforts and supported events and relationship-building with Clemson Baseball alumni, gaining hands-on experience in athletic operations and alumni relations.
Outside of work, Sylvia enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring new trails with her golden retriever, Bea.
