Todd Goodale

Todd Goodale was named senior associate director of athletics for external affairs in August of 2015. In that role, he oversees the licensing, strategic marketing and fan engagement, media relations, ticketing, and video services departments, the spirit squads and is the sport supervisor of the men’s and women’s golf programs. Previously, Goodale was the associate director for external affairs from 2013-15.

Goodale was the associate athletics director for marketing and video services starting in July of 2006.  He was named UVA’s director of video services in July of 2004.

He received the Bus Male Service Award in 2005 and was named the department’s employee of the year in 2010.

Goodale was the creative director for Cavalier Sports Marketing from 1998-2004. Prior to that, he was a member of the Virginia Sports Marketing staff, serving as producer of the football and basketball coaches television shows and as an account executive.

He is a 1994 graduate of Virginia. Following his graduation, he was a sports reporter and anchor for WVIR-TV in Charlottesville.

Goodale serves on the boards of ParadeRest, a Charlottesville-based non-profit organization that serves military members and military families in Virginia, and First Tee of the Virginia Blue Ridge, the local chapter of an international youth development organization introducing the game of golf and its inherent value to young people.

Goodale resides in Charlottesville and has two children, Ava and Graham.
