The Cavaliers are now 13-1 at the John Paul Jones Arena.

UVa leads the all-time series with Longwood, which stands at 2-0.

After starting the same lineup the past 10 games, the Cavaliers made a change to their starting five. Tunji Soroye replaced Laurynas Mikalauskas in tonight’s starting lineup. Mamadi Diane, Jason Cain, Sean Singletary and J.R. Reynolds also started tonight’s game. This is Soroye’s third start of the year.

Longwood’s first made field goal of the game came with 13:32 remaining in the first half. The Lancers missed their first 11 field goal attempts.

Tonight’s 53 first half points for the Cavaliers are the second most first half points the team has scored this year. The team scored 60 points in the first half against Gonzaga (Jan. 3).

Sean Singletary (19 points) and J.R. Reynolds (11 points) both scored in double figures for the 14th consecutive game. On the season, Reynolds has scored 444 points while Singletary has scored 442.

Virginia has won 17 straight home games against in-state opponents.

Either Sean Singletary or J.R. Reynolds has led Virginia in scoring in each of the last eight games.

Laurynas Mikalauskas scored a season-high 12 points. His previous season high was 10 points vs. North Carolina (Jan. 10).

UVa blocked a season-high 12 shots. The previous high was 9 blocks at Maryland (Feb. 6).

With two free throws in the first half, Sean Singletary is now 43-44 on first half free throws at home. His only miss occurred in the Miami game on Feb. 3.

Andy Burns made his first career three-pointer.

Tonight’s game was the fifth time this season the Cavaliers have turned the ball over nine or fewer times.

UVa’s 52 rebounds tonight are the second most rebounds in a game this season. The Cavaliers pulled down 54 boards against Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 26).

The Cavaliers had five players score in double figures. Singletary had 19, Diane had 13, Mikalauskas had 12, Reynolds had 11, and Joseph had 11. Diane has scored in double figures 14 times this season.
