Treat Huey '08 Wins Doubles Title at Vancouver Challenger

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Virginia tennis alum Treat Huey (’08), along with partner Frederick Nielsen, won the doubles title at the Odlum Brown Vancouver Open on Sunday, Aug. 23). The tandem downed Yuki Bhambri and Michael Venus 7-6(4), 6-7(3), 10-5 in the finals to win the ATP Challenger Event, the largest professional tennis tournament in Western Canada.

This is the second-straight week that a Cavalier alum won a doubles title. Last weekend, Justin Shane (’14) along with current Cavalier senior Ryan Shane (Falls Church, Va.), partnered to win the doubles crown at the CarX Futures Of Champaign.
