Recap | Final Stats

Head coach Joanne Boyle
On Louisville’s Myisha Hines-Allen:
“We talked about how she has really perfected that 15-foot jump shot. I thought in shoot around we really worked on how to crowd her, but we gave her too much space and she came down and knocked down those two or three in a row.”

On team playing tough:
“We definitely fought. It was really a six or eight point game the whole way. Great teams like Louisville find a way and we didn’t really lock down on them down the stretch and we really rushed our scoring. It was a battle. I am really proud of how we fought tonight, we just have to be able to finish out games like this.”

On foul trouble:
“We ended up having to go with five guards for a while so we had to sit in some zone. Then we tried to switch up screens and buy a little time until the second half when we could get Lauren (Moses) back in. She sat for a really long time so it didn’t feel like she was in the flow in the second half. She was a little hesitant. We just have to keep working.”

On Faith Randolph:
“Scoring, defense, hustle plays, its all there. She is just a fighter and was out there battling. She had six boards for us tonight. You look at her stat line and we need her out there. When she is in the game we have games like this. It has been a blessing to have her back.”

On last three games:
“These last three games are huge and we have two of them at home so we really appreciate everyone coming out and supporting. It’s Faith’s last stretch here and she has not been on the floor since coming back so it would be great for everyone to come out and support her in the last two home games.”
