Five Cavaliers Named to CRCA All-Conference Team

Five members of the Virginia rowing program were named to the 2018 Division I All-Conference Team by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

Jane Hudson (Sandy, Utah), Heidi Long (Buckinghamshire, England), Morgan Rosts (Jordan, Ontario), Ellie Stewart (London, England) and Izzi Weiss (Chicago, Ill.) represented the Cavaliers on the Division I All-Conference Team.

Hudson, Long, Stewart and Weiss rowed on the ACC champion Varsity Eight, which also finished seventh at the NCAA Championships. The quartet also earned All-ACC first-team honors. Rosts was part of the ACC champion Second Varsity Eight, which earned a bronze medal at the NCAA Championships. Rosts was an All-ACC second-team selection.

The 2018 Division I All Conference Teams replace the previous All Region award given by the CRCA. These awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each Division I rowing conference. These athletes, along with others who compete at the NCAA Championships, will be eligible for 2018 All-America awards selection.
