CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia Athletics implemented a Fans First Ticket program for athletics events while capacity is limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This program provides flexibility, safety and assurances to fans.

The Fans First Ticket program includes the following components:

Ticket and Parking Guarantee
If a scheduled athletics event for which tickets and reserved parking have been sold is not played or capacity restrictions limit attendance during the 2020-21 or 2021-22 academic year due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans who purchased tickets from the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office may choose from four options:

• Sport’s Operational Budget – Donate your ticket purchase to the sport’s operational budget via the Virginia Athletics Foundation (VAF) Sport Enhancement Fund (formerly Coaches 10).
• Athletics Master Plan – Donate your ticket purchase to the Virginia Athletics facilities Master Plan.
• Credit – Receive an account credit applied to a future ticket / parking purchase.
• Refund – Receive a refund for the value of the game(s) canceled

Custom Payment Plans
Payment plan options have been introduced for football and men’s basketball season ticket purchases starting with an initial payment of the order total. Fans interested in this option may create their custom payment plan over the phone with a ticket services representative.

Digital Ticketing
Athletics tickets are now digital, for both printing and delivery, to reduce the number of physical touchpoints with tickets at athletics venues. Reserved parking passes are delivered separately.

Support of Virginia Athletics and the Virginia Athletics Foundation is vital to the operating budget of the athletics department, including the more than 750 student-athletes who compete in 27 varsity sports.

With the conclusion of the regular seasons, season ticket holders for both men’s and women’s basketball who have yet to make their Fans First Ticket selection are encouraged to do so as soon as possible by contacting the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office.
