• Matt Moore needs one goals to become the 19th Cavalier in program history to reach 100 career goals.
• Virginia is No. 1 in the nation in opponent’s clearing success, limiting opponents to a 74.6 percent success rate. Richmond is tied for No. 7 in the nation in clearing at 90.3 percent, sharing the spot with UMBC. Only nine teams in the nation are clearing over 90 percent and Richmond is one of them. Saturday will be a clash in the clearing game to watch.
• UVA is No. 25 in the nation in caused turnovers per game (8.44), No. 1 in the nation in opponent clearing percentage (.746) and No. 1 in the nation in ground balls per game (42.33)
• FO Petey LaSalla is No. 12 in the nation with 7.56 ground balls per game and No. 13 in faceoff winning percentage with a 64.9 percent success rate.
• Payton Cormier leads UVA with 27 goals in just nine games. He had 12 goals in UVA’s six games in 2020. Cormier also has at least a hat-trick in nine of his 15 career games. Cormier is tied for No. 3 in the nation with 27 goals.
• Connor Shellenberger leads the nation’s freshmen with 37 points, which ranks No. 7 in the country overall. Shellenberger is also No. 3 in the nation with 23 assists.
• Kyle Kology is No. 4 in the nation with 17 caused turnovers.
