CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.  –  The Virginia football program has added another graduate transfer, according to Fralin Family Head Football Coach Mendenhall. Wide receiver Artie Henry III (Marshall) has signed grant-in-aid documents and will enroll at UVA this summer. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Henry (Sarasota, Fla.) graduated from Marshall this spring with a bachelor of science degree in health sciences after playing in 22 career games for the Thundering Herd. He leaves Marshall with 42 career receptions for 504 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Prior to attending Marshall, Henry played at San Diego Mesa Junior College for two years, including 2017 when he made 25 receptions for 505 yards and four touchdowns. He also returned kicks at San Diego Mesa.

Henry was Marshall’s third-leading receiver in 2020 after catching 22 passes for 308 yards and three scores. He also returned five punts for 60 yards in 2020 when injuries forced Henry into primary punt return duties.

Henry attended Booker High School in Sarasota, Fla., where he also participated on the track & field team.
