Virginia Wrestlers Set To Compete At Virginia Duals
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Members of the Virginia wrestling team are set to return to the mat this weekend in competition at the Virginia Duals as part of the Division I Wrestling Showcase at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va. The two-day event begins on Friday (Jan. 14).
Instead of the traditional dual format, Virginia wrestlers will compete in individual matches against wrestlers from Chattanooga and Lock Haven on Friday. Matches against wrestlers from Chattanooga are set to begin at 1 p.m. and against wrestlers from Lock Haven at 3 p.m.
Wrestling for the Cavaliers is slated to conclude with matches on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE HOOS
Virginia is coming off competition at the Lehman Open last weekend where four wrestlers placed, including Jarod Verkleeren and Quinn Miller taking runner-up finishes at 149 pounds, and Patrick McCormick and Denton Spencer finishing third at 125 pounds and 157 pounds, respectively.
UP NEXT FOR THE HOOS
Virginia will open ACC competition next weekend when the Cavaliers travel to face No. 19 Pittsburgh on Friday (Jan. 21). The dual is set to begin at 7 p.m.
