Virginia Adds Transfer Jack Camper
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Fralin Family Head Football Coach Tony Elliott announced the addition of defensive end Jack Camper as a transfer to Virginia’s 2022 recruiting class. Camper, who played the last four years at Michigan State, will enroll at UVA for the spring semester and has a year of eligibility remaining.
Camper accumulated 29 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and a sack in 27 career games for the Spartans. The Virginia Beach native had his best season in 2020, playing in all seven games (249 snaps) for Michigan State. He registered 18 tackles, two tackles for loss 0.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and two QB hurries as a redshirt junior. He saw action in two games in 2021.
Camper was ranked as one of the top tight ends in the nation coming out of IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) where he played two seasons. IMG went 11-0 and was ranked No. 2 in the country in 2016, his senior season. Camper transitioned to defensive end during his redshirt season at Michigan State in 2017.
