CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – UVA Fralin Family Head Football Coach Tony Elliott and his staff will host the inaugural Virginia Football Coaches Clinic on March 30-31 (Thursday-Friday) at the Cavaliers’ George Welsh Indoor Practice Facility. The event is intended for high school and middle school coaching staffs.

In addition to attending a UVA spring football practice session, coaches will hear presentations from the UVA coaching staff, including Elliott and coordinators Des Kitchings (offense), Keith Gaither (special teams) and John Rudzinski (defense) as well as strength and conditioning coach Adam Smotherman.

The cost of attendance ($65 each) includes meals, parking and a social gathering. The clinic begins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 and wraps up with UVA’s practice on Friday, March 31 at 4 p.m.

“As a young coach, I looked forward to opportunities like this to better my coaching skills, to network and to interact with my peers,” Elliott said. “As someone who is involved on the presenter side, I love the opportunity to talk about football, share philosophies, to build existing relationships and create new ones. At the end of the day, we all love football and so this is a great opportunity for coaches at all levels to get together and improve our craft.”
