CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Some Cavaliers were busy in Challenge Cup action this week, including an equalizer and assist on a game-winner from a pair of Hoos in North Carolina. Here’s the latest Hoos in the NWSL update and a look ahead to the weekend with some exciting matches on tap in the NWSL

ANGEL CITY FC
Megan Reid – Defender

Reid has started five regular-season games played for Angel City as the club has posted a 2-5-3 record on the year. Reid also saw action in both Challenge Cup games this season for Angel City. She did not see action in the club’s past two games.

Courtney Petersen – Defender

Spaanstra made the start against Racing Louisville FC in the May 17 Challenge Cup match and notched assists on both goals for the Current as Kansas City fell to the Louisville side. It was the first two professional assists for Spaanstra. Since then, she has clocked 14 minutes of playing time and 3 shots, all in the club’s 2-0 loss against Racing Louisville FC May 20.
