CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 7 Virginia women’s squash team (5-2) fell 9-0 against No. 1 Harvard (2-0) on Saturday (Dec. 2) at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Va.

Senior Meagan Best and sophomore Lina Tammam both took their opponents to five games.

At the top position, Best was edged 12-10 in the first game before taking the second two 11-7 and 13-11. Mariana Stefanoni took the final two games 11-8 and 11-1.

Tammam, playing at position two, was edged 13-11 in the first game and 11-9 in the second before coming back with two straight wins, 11-7 and 11-8, against Habiba Eldafrawy. The two were locked 10-10 in the fifth game, but Eldafrawy won the last two points to win 12-10 and preserve the sweep.
