CARLISLE, Pa. – The No. 9 Virginia men’s squash team (5-5, 4-1 MASC) opened the weekend with a 9-0 victory against No. 22 Dickinson (4-7, 0-3 MASC) on Saturday (Jan. 20) at the Kline Center in Carlisle, Pa.
The Cavaliers won all 10 courts, including the exhibition court, by 3-0 scores.
Freshman Dylan Moran made his collegiate debut, winning 11-3, 11-4, 11-4 at position five.
Junior Evan Hajek had the most dominant performance of the day, winning 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 at position four.
Senior Taha Dinana made his return to the top of the lineup, winning 11-2, 11-8, 11-10. Dinana had missed the last five matches with an injury.
With the victory, the Cavaliers close out MASC play with a 4-1 record. They will compete at the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championships Feb. 9-11 at the Arlen Specter Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
