No. 11 Cavaliers Host UVA Invite April 13-14 at Lake Monticello

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 11 Virginia welcomes No. 1 Stanford, No. 4 Cal, No. 5 Yale, No. 8 Syracuse and No. 17 Oregon State to the UVA Invite on Saturday-Sunday, April 13-14 at Lake Monticello. Due to windy conditions at Lake Monticello, the regatta will begin on Saturday (April 13) evening at 5:30 p.m.

Virginia will race Stanford and Yale on Saturday beginning at 5:45 p.m. The Cavaliers will race Cal on Sunday starting at 8:15 a.m. UVA will have five crews (Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Third Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Second Varsity Four) competing in the event.

The Cavaliers will honor seniors Izzie Begley, Lauren Benedict, Cameron Bentley, Lily Bernero, Izzie Bird, Emma Bradish, Parker Cuthbertson, Sydney Fratamico, Eva Frohnhofer, Kelsey Gems, Nora Grabcheski, Jenna Hajji, Lily Jarrett, Beatrice Jones, Sheila Joyce, Kate Kelly, Ailbhe O’Grady, Zoe Tekeian and Caeley Tierney at the conclusion of the invite.

UVA won five races at the B1G-ACC on March 30 in Columbus, Ohio.
