CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Baseball America and D1Baseball both listed Henry Ford on their 2024 Freshman All-America squads. Ford has been recognized Freshman All-American by four different outlets.

Ford broke the UVA freshman records for home runs (17), RBI (69) and total bases (151). His team-high 69 RBI were tied for the fifth-most ever by a Cavaliers in a single-season and were second amongst all NCAA D-I freshmen in 2024. He became only the third UVA freshman since 1984 to lead the team outright in RBI (Bill Narleski in 1984 and Chris Newell in 2020).

He surpassed the UVA freshman single season record for home runs and RBI in one swing against NC State on May 11. Ford surpassed former big leaguer Mark Reynolds’ home run mark of 15 in 2002 and Steven Proscia’s RBI record of 57 in 2009.

Ford batted .336 (85-for-253) to go along with 13 doubles, a triple and 60 runs scored. He was one of 56 invitees to USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp earlier this summer.
