  • The shutout of the Wolfpack was the seventh shutout of the season by the Virginia defense.
  • The Cavaliers moved up a spot in the RPI after the weekend to No. 14 following the wins and have played a schedule ranked No. 25 nationally for toughest schedule after facing NC State and SMU.
  • The three remaining opponents on the schedule are ranked in the top 35 in the RPI – FSU (11), Virginia Tech (28) and Clemson (35). Two of those are on the road: at FSU and at Virginia Tech.
  • Meredith McDermott struck quickly vs. NC State with a goal one minute into play. It was the 10th fastest goal scored in program history and she has two career goals scored in the opening minute.

  • The goal was the fifth of the season for Ross and it was the 11th goal of her career with the Hoos.
