  • Meredith McDermott struck quickly vs. NC State with a goal one minute into play. It was the 10th fastest goal scored in program history and she has two career goals scored in the opening minute.
  • McDermott and Maggie Cagle have three of the top 10 earliest goals scored in UVA history as Cagle hit a goal at the 0:50 mark last season against Radford (8/20/23).
  • Cagle tallied two assists vs. NC State to tie her career high and matched it with two assists against SMU. She found McDermott for both game winners and has 11 career game-winning assists.
  • Cagle’s 24 career assists have her just outside the top 10 at UVA in career assists, while Lia Godfrey sits tied for 10th all-time with 26 career assists entering the week.
  • Godfrey broke through against SMU with her first goal of the season. After missing the 2023 season due to injury, it was her first goal since the Sweet 16 win at Penn State in 2022.
