“Today was a great opportunity for our entire roster to travel and compete against some of the excellent NCAA Championship programs in the country,” Virginia head coach Wesley Ng said. “I’m especially proud of our first-year and transfer rowers who raced as Hoos for the first time, stepping up and contributing to our team’s progress.
“Placing two crews in the top 10 and eight seconds apart will lead to some good competitive moments in practice. We gained valuable insights into our strengths and the areas we must address and develop. It’s been a rewarding and challenging fall for our team and with one final competition at the Rivanna Romp next Sunday, we’re focused on building momentum and improving our trajectory for the spring 2025 season.”
