Seven Cavaliers Earn CSC Academic All-District Accolades
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –Seven Virginia Track and Field student-athletes have been named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All–District honorees for the 2024-2025 season, the organization announced Tuesday (June 24).
The 2025 Academic All-District Men’s and Women’s Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom.
Achieving Academic All-District honors for the 2025 season include Christiana Ellina and Estel Valeanu on the women’s side and Will Anthony, Will Daley, Gary Martin, Alex Sherman and Justin Wachtel on the men’s side. Three Cavaliers including Anthony, Martin and Sherman garnered their second consecutive CSC Academic All-District honors.
The seven Cavaliers join last season’s nine student-athletes with Academic All-District honors. The Virginia honorees for the 2024 season include Nate Mountain, Samantha Romano, Maggie Hock, Esther Seeland, Caroline Timm, Anna Workman, Anthony, Martin and Sherman.
