CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Eight members of the Virginia wrestling team have been named Scholar All-America honorees by the National Wrestling Coaches Association it was announced by the organization on Wednesday (April 1) with the release of the annual team.
Nick Hamilton earned the distinction for the third time in his career, while Griffin Gammell, Brenan Morgan, Michael Murphy, Jayce Paridon, Gable Porter, Emmitt Sherlock and Colton Washleski all earned the honor for the first time as Cavaliers.
A total of 390 student-athletes from 73 institutions were recognized for success in the classroom while competing on the mat.
