SUMMER 2023: Made five appearances, including three starts for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League … played alongside fellow UVA pitcher Jack O’Connor in Hyannis … went 0-1 with a 5.26 ERA and struck out 13 in 13.2 innings pitched … in his final outing against Yarmouth-Dennis (7/19), pitched three-shutout innings, allowed two hits and recorded a season-best four strikeouts … pitched the final two innings of a 8-6 loss to Orleans (7/3) where he did not allow a run.
2023
• Made 19 appearances on the mound as a true freshman, including one start against Georgetown on March 22.
• Went 2-0 with a 4.32 ERA and recorded 40 strikeouts over 33.1 innings pitched.
• Registered his first collegiate save by pitching the final three innings of a 12-6 win in the first game of a doubleheader against Rhode Island on March 4, just his third appearance of the season. He struck out a season-high four batters in the contest.
• Recorded wins in back-to-back outings against Towson (4/26) and VCU (5/2).
• In his lone start against Georgetown (3/22), pitched the first 2.2 innings, surrendered one run and fanned two and did not factor in the decision.
• Struck out 14 batters in 13 innings over six appearances against ACC opponents.
• In 18 relief appearances, six of his 15 inherited runners came around to score.
• Struck out All-American and TCU single-season home run record holder Brayden Taylor to strand a pair of runners in College World Series game against TCU (6/18), his only postseason appearance.
