• Began high school at St. Ignatius College Prep in San Francisco before transferring to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

• At 2012 Sarasota Baseball Classic, was named Best Pitcher and earned All-Tournament Team honors after firing six shutout innings in the championship game (4 2/3 perfect innings, six strikeouts, no walks) as IMG Academy won its first tourney title, 1-0
