• Finished fifth in the weight throw with his mark of 20.10m/65-11.50 and become No. 8 all-time

• Secured another victory at the Midwest Classic Invitational in weight throw (19.97m / 65-06.25) (Jan. 31)
• Placed 11th in weight throw at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a throw of 20.11m (65-11.75) (Feb. 28)

• Placed seventh in the hammer throw at the Big Ten Championships with a season best of 62.67m (205-07) (May 10-12)

• Placed third in weight throw at the Edmunds-Wilt Invite (19.21m / 63-00.25) and threw a personal best of 14.89m (48-10.25) in shot put, finishing in sixth (Dec. 9)
• Finished in third for weight throw at the Simmons-Harvey Invite with a distance of 19.65m (64-05.75) (Jan. 20)
• Placed 15th in weight throw at the Big Ten Indoor Championships (18.94m / 62-01.75) (Feb 23-24)

• Began his career fifth in the weight throw (14.64m / 48-00.50) and sixth in the shot put (13.85m / 45-05.25) at the Fred Wilt Invitational (Dec. 4)
