Johnny Fenwick

Johnny Fenwick was hired as an assistant coach in March of 2026. 

He arrived at UVA after spending the 2025 season at High Point as director of player development. The Panthers won the Big South title in 2025 while posting a record of 14-2-4 and advancing to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament. Fenwick also served as the program’s director of operations for the 2021 campaign.

A standout defender and team captain at High Point from 2015-2018, Fenwick was a four-time all-conference selection, a second-team All-American and named conference defensive player of the year in his 2018 senior campaign. That season, Fenwick led his team to High Point’s first ever NCAA Championship appearance.

Following his collegiate career, Fenwick played professionally making a combined 97 appearances at USL clubs including San Antonio FC, LV Lights, Tulsa, Sacramento FC, Hailstorm FC, and Asheville City.
