STORYLINES
• The Cavaliers lead the all-time series with the Seminoles 21-8-6 and 10-1-1 at Klöckner Stadium. Virginia won both matches last season, taking a 1-0 overtime victory over then No. 5 Florida State in Tallahassee before taking a 2-1 overtime victory over the Seminoles in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament.
• The Cavaliers are ranked No.11 in the latest edition of the United Soccer Coaches poll and are coming off a 2-0 victory over No. 13 Louisville.
• Junior Alexa Spaanstra scored both goals against the Cardinals in her return to action, while redshirt freshman Cayla White improved to 3-0-0 as she helped the Cavaliers to a shutout with her third start in goal this season.
• Virginia has now posted shutouts in three of the last four matches – Virginia Tech, Miami, Louisville.
