TIFFANY ON THOMPSON
2020 – “The reality of college athletics includes the acquisition of new, talented personnel that can usurp starting roles from older, established men.  As a starter in the past, Griffin proved his gameday boldness with stalwart play in the cage.  The reduction in playing time last season is serving as fuel:  Griffin’s commitment to the program includes being the best version of himself, evidenced by his extra and improved training this fall, as he competes for his starting spot again.” 2019 – “This man is a fantastic and dependable stopper, proving himself in his first two seasons to be a consistent last wall of defense for us and a reliable teammate in the clutch.” 2018 – “Co-winner of our 2017 Most Improved Player award, Griffin certainly earned this honor.  The confidence he brought to the crease increased with each game and Griffin eventually became our starting goalie midway through the season.  That first start, against Notre Dame, was a microcosm of his first-year – a slow beginning followed by a bold finish.  With Kip Turner’s training, Griffin is emerging before our eyes into a reliable stopper.”
