2015 – Appeared in all 12 of UVA’s games … saw all his time on special teams … took part on 62 special teams plays. 2014 – Appeared in three of UVA’s 12 games … saw time against Richmond, Kent State and Miami … took part on 16 plays and all of them were on offense … notched a season-high 10 plays against Kent State. 2013 – Appeared in one of UVA’s 12 games … saw time against VMI … missed most of the season with an upper extremity injury … ran on five offensive plays against VMI. 2012 – Appeared in one of UVA’s 12 games … made collegiate debut against Richmond … was named UVA’s scout team player of the game for the North Carolina game. 2011 – Redshirted season.

A 2011 graduate of Matoaca High School … went to same high school as former UVA wide receiver Kris Burd … was a guard and center on the offensive line for Matoaca … also did the shotput on the Track & Field team … All- Central District, All-Central Region and All-Central Academic honoree in football … a Virginia Elite Top 100 player … all-state honoree as a senior team captain … member of the National Honor Society … earned academic all-district and all-region honors … OBX 4 Corners Basketball Camp volunteer … worked Matoaca High School Football Camp … enjoys hunting, fishing and bowling … son of Marikaye and Lindsey Pond … has a younger brother named James.
