2013 – Started all 12 games at left tackle … moved to left tackle this season where he has started all 12 games … invited to the 2014 Senior Bowl … owned 43 career starts on UVa offensive line … key blocking component to help Kevin Parks become the UVa[apos]s first 1,000-yard rusher in a season since 2004 … named the team[apos]s offensive player of the week for his performances vs. Georgia Tech and Clemson … has yielded only two sacks in 506 pass attempts to date … graded out over 90 percent in every game and is averaging eight knockdowns per contest … season-best 96 percent grade at North Carolina … limited Clemson[apos]s Vic Beasley (Bednarik and Lombardi Award semifinalist), who entered the Week 10 contest No. 1 in the nation in sacks, to one tackle and zero sacks … did not allow any tackles to Georgia Tech[apos]s Jeremiah Attaochu when matched up … Attaochu is currently No. 4 among active FBS players in career sacks … helped keep BYU[apos]s Kyle Van Noy in check with only four tackles and zero sacks at UVa … Van Noy (Butkus, Bednarik and Lombardi Award semifinalist) is No. 2 among active FBS players in career sacks. 2012 – Started 11 of Virginia[apos]s 12 games … missed the start against Wake Forest due to injury but still appeared later in contest … spearheaded an offense that has out gained 7 of their 12 opponents, including a streak of six in a row … helped UVa amass over 500 yards of total offense multiple times in a season for the first time since 2004 … helped protect UVa QBs as they passed for a program record 480 yards in a game against Louisiana Tech. 2011 – One of 13 players to start all 13 games for the Cavaliers in 2011 … teamed up with Oday Aboushi (LT), Luke Bowanko (RG), Anthony Mihota (C) and Austin Pasztor (LG) to start every game on the offensive line, the first time the same five linemen started every game in a season for UVa since 2004. 2010 – Appeared in 11 of Virginia[apos]s 12 games … did not play at USC … earned his first letter … saw action in 583 offensive plays … made collegiate debut against Richmond … made first collegiate start against North Carolina … became the seventh true freshman nationally to start at an offensive tackle position in 2010 when he started at right tackle against North Carolina … became just the third true freshman in UVa history to start at an offensive tackle position … he follows D[apos]Brickashaw Ferguson (2002 – LT) and Brad Butler (2002 – RT) … started seven games, six at right tackle and one at right guard … before his first start UVa had surrendered 17 sacks in 22 quarters … after halftime of the his first start he was part of an offensive line that surrendered only six sacks over the final 26 quarters of the season … in just his third start he went toe-to-toe with Miami[apos]s Allen Bailey, who entered the game No. 26 in the nation in sacks … he shut Bailey down during a period where UVa went 13-straight quarters without allowing a sack … helped block for the ACC[apos]s No. 4 passing attack and an offense that featured two of the ACC[apos]s top 13 running backs.
