Prepped at The Hotchkiss School in Conn. where he played wide receiver … also played lacrosse … was a three-year letterwinner in both football and lacrosse at St. Anthony[apos]s prior to attending The Hotchkiss School … caught 37 balls for 882 yards and four touchdowns as a senior at St. Anthony[apos]s … had 61 receptions for 1,307 yards and nine touchdowns in three varsity seasons … fist team Newsday All-Long Island … first team All-NY Daily News … first team All-CHSFL … second team all-state class ‘AA’ … led Outback Bowl, annual game between the best players from Long Island against the best players from NYC, with four receptions for 74 yards … MVP of the State Championship with seven receptions for a championship record 207 yards … rated the No. 38 midfielder in the country by Inside Lacrosse in 2008 before entering UVa … at a UVa men[apos]s lacrosse recruit, was a member of the nation[apos]s No. 2 recruiting class as rated by Inside Lacrosse … was on honor roll at St. Anthony[apos]s … involved at UVa with A.C.E. – Athletes Committed to Excellence … Son of Bruce and Kay Pomper … has two brothers, Max and Adam … father played lacrosse at Roanoke College and was a member of their 1978 NCAA DII national title team … brother Max played lacrosse at UVa from 2006-10 and was a member of UVa[apos]s 2006 NCAA title team.
