A 2013 graduate of Deep Run High School where he played offensive and defensive line for head coach Matt McLeod … was a first-team all-district honoree on defense in 2012 … a first-team all-academic honoree … Scholar Athlete … honorable mention all-district honoree on offense … team captain and all-region honorable mention … also lettered in basketball where he was a team captain and team MVP and bestowed the Coaches Award … member of the honor roll at Deep Run and a member of the National Beta Club … involved with Little Einstein’s academic athletic tutoring at the YMCA … was a tutor and mentor for underprivileged children at Montrose Elementary School … son of Bob and Catherine Babcock … has an older brother, Bobby, and a younger brother, Will … has an older sister, Elizabeth … father Bob played football at TCU … brother bobby played football at SMU from 2006-07 … enjoys golfing in his spare time and his handicap is a four … major is undeclared and is currently studying in UVA’s College of Arts and Sciences.
