2019 – Appeared in 13 of UVA’s 14 games with 12 starts … missed the Orange Bowl after having season-ending surgery on a lower extremity injury that hampered him the last four games of the season …  in the season opener at Pitt he finished the game with three tackles and a shared sack with Eli Hanback … made four tackles adn 2.5 sacks against William & Mary … led UVA with 13 tackles in the win over Florida State … he also recorded 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks against the Seminoles … made nine tackles and 1.0 sack in the win over Old Dominion … made three stops and 1.0 sack at No. 10 Notre Dame … made three tackles at Miami … made six tackles and notched 1.0 sack in win against Duke … the sack against the Blue Devils forced a fumble recovered by UVA … made three tackles at Louisville … made five tackles in the win at North Carolina … led UVA with nine tackles in win over Georgia Tech … made five tackles and notched a 0.5 sack in the win against Liberty … made six tackles and forced a fumble that Mandy Alonso recovered in the Commonwealth Cup victory over Virginia Tech.  2018– Started all nine games in which he has appeared … started UVA’s first four games before missing the NC State, Miami, Duke and North Carolina games with an injury suffered against Louisville … against Richmond made three tackles, including 1.0 tackle for loss against the Spiders … notched five tackles and 1.0 tackle for loss at Indiana … made five tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss against Ohio in Nashville … made seven tackles and shared a sack with Jordan Redmond against Louisville in the ACC opener … returned to the field against Pitt and made six tackles … made 10 tackles against Liberty … notched 12 tackles at Georgia Tech … made 10 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks at Virginia Tech … led UVA with eight tackles and one sack against South Carolina in the Belk Bowl. 2017 – Started all 13 of UVA’s games … finished the season No. 5 in the ACC with 114 tackles … joined Micah Kiser (145) and Quin Blanding (137) to become one of two FBS programs (New Mexico State) and the only “Power 5” school to have a trio of players with at least 100 tackles in the same season … posted three stops against William & Mary … recorded a team-high 16 tackles against Indiana, his first career double-digit tackle game … also shared a sack against the Hoosiers with Eli Hanback … made five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in the UConn win … made three stops at Boise State … recorded 10 tackles in a home win over Duke … made nine stops in UVA’s road win at North Carolina … made 12 tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss against Boston College … made eight stops at Pitt … made 13 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.0 sacks against Georgia Tech … forced a fumble that resulted in a safety against the Yellow Jackets … made nine tackles and 1.5 sacks of Lamar Jackson at Louisville … also forced a fumble against the Cardinals … made four stops at No. 2 Miami … notched 13 tackles against Virginia Tech … made nine stops against Navy in the Military Bowl. 2016 – Appeared in all 12 of UVA’s games with nine starts … one of nine UVA true freshmen to play … one of six UVA true freshmen to start at least one game … made collegiate debut against Richmond in the season opener … became the first true freshman at UVA to start a season opener at linebacker since Ahmad Brooks in 2003 … made three tackles against the Spiders … made six tackles, 2.0 tackles for a loss and forced a fumble at then-No. 24 Oregon … made one tackle at UConn … made two tackles against Central Michigan … made eight tackles with 1.0 sack at Duke in the ACC opener … his strip sack against the Blue Devils came in the end zone and Eli Hanback recovered for the touchdown, giving UVA a 14-point cushion in the closing minutes … made two tackles, including picking up a 0.5 sack against Pitt … made seven tackles and 0.5 TFLs against then-No. 22 North Carolina … made one tackle against then-No. 5 Louisville … made three tackles at Wake Forest … made one tackle against Miami … made five stops at Georgia Tech … recorded one tackle at Virginia Tech.

Played safety and wide receiver at the Wesleyan School for head coach Franklin Pridgen … rated a three-star recruit according to ESPN.com, Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247sports.com … named a 2015 first-team All-Region 6-AA honoree at defensive back … a second-team Class AA all-state honoree at defensive back … recorded 36 tackles as a senior and picked off one pass … caught 19 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns in 2015 … son of Charles and Audria Mack … father, Charles, played football at Georgia Tech from 1983-87 … has one brother, Charles, who played  football at Richmond from 2013-16 … cousin, Jimmy Coleman, played football at Tulane.
