AT VIRGINIA
2024 – Caught his first career touchdown, an eight-yard reception from Tony Muskett, at No. 10 Clemson (10/19).  2023 – Appeared in nine of UVA’s games, starting in eight of them … Had three catches for 62 yards in 31-27 win on the road over then-No. 10 North Carolina (10/21) … Of his nine receptions on the year, eight went on for first downs, according to Pro Football Focus … Finished second on the team in yards per catch (15.7).  2022 – Appeared in nine of UVA’s games, including two starts … Made six catches for a career-high 94 yards against North Carolina  (11/5).  2021 – Appeared in 11 of UVA’s games.  2020 – Appeared in two of UVA’s 10 games … One of 12 UVA true freshmen to appear in a game … Made collegiate debut against Abilene Christian (11/21) … Also saw time against Boston College (12/5).

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL
Played wide receiver, quarterback and outside linebacker at E.C. Glass High School for head coach Jeff Woody … three-year letterwinner and two-time team captain … played quarterback in 2016  and 2017, throwing for over 2,000 yards each season … senior year switched to wide receiver and outside linebacker … notched 500 receiving yards and four touchdowns as a senior … led team with four interceptions … named all-area, All-Seminole District and all-region … earned the E.C. Glass Rucker Cup Award for leadership … also earned four letters in lacrosse and three in basketball … team captain in basketball and earned the Topper Award for leadership … part of E.C. Glass’ undefeated state championship lacrosse team in 2018 … scored 20 goals and 20 assists on his way to all-district and all-region honors … member of the National Honor Society … given the Academic and Athletic Excellence Award all four years … son of Alex and Sackett Wood Sr. … has two younger brothers, Hugh and Eli … Eli is a wide receiver at UVA … grandfather played football at Virginia … enjoys fishing and golf … Graduate Student in the School of Education.
