• Helped team to state semifinals in 2021, 2022 and 2023 under coaches Mark Elder (2021-22) and Bart Bathiany (2023)
• Three-star prospect by Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports and On3
• First-team all-southwest Ohio as a senior
• Named first team all-GCL in 2023 after being second team as a junior and freshman
• Born in Cincinnati, Ohio
• Parents are Jonathan and Kristi Hayes
• Has older siblings Jaxson and Jillian and younger brother Jonah
• Brother, Jaxson, played basketball at Texas before declaring for the 2019 NBA Drafter after his freshman season … was selected eighth overall by the Atlanta Hawks
• Mother played college basketball standout at Drake after a high school career that saw her score 3,406 points and averaging almost 50 points a game as a senior … at Drake she was the Missouri Valley Conference MVP in 1995
• Father played tight end at Iowa (1982-84) for coach Hayden Fry
• Father was early entry into the NFL draft and was a second-round pick in 1985 by the Kansas City Chiefs where he played from 1985-93 before joining the Pittsburgh Steelers (1994-96)
• Father’s coaching career included the 2000 Oklahoma team that won the BCS Championship game
• Father also coached for Cincinnati Bengals before being named head coach of XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks in 2019. Currently serves as the offensive coordinator for the Arlington Renegades (formerly Dallas Renegades), the 2023 XFL Champions.
