2024 – Appeared in all 12 games, including 11 starts, as a sophomore … Finished with 19 total tackles, five pass breakups and an interception … Also recovered a fumble at Towson (9/7) and a tackle for loss against Merrimack (10/12) and a tackle for loss. 2023 – Appeared in eight total games, starting in six … Ended his rookie season as the MEAC’s leader with eight passes defended (8), which also tied for 30th among all FCS players … Had seven pass breakups an an interception in the Bears’ season-opening triumph over No. 16/18 Richmond (9/2) … Added 22 tackles on the year.

Spent a postgraduate season playing football for East Coast Prep in 2022 … Two-sport high school prep athlete at St. Joseph Academy … As a senior, broke the school’s single season passing touchdown record  (18 TDs) and was named to the All-South Jersey team … As a senior guard, led the basketball team to state semifinals for the first time in 20 plus years and was selected All-South Jersey … Four-year member of the basketball team … Son of Natia Huckaby … Nickname is “JP” … Career ambition is to play in the NFL and have a real estate agency  … Lists his big brother, Ahmad, as his biggest sports influence “because of going to all his practices and private workouts – and all the work with my dad also played a big role.”
